OUR DESIGN PROCESS
As a smaller design firm, we work on a limited number of projects at a time to ensure proper attention is given to each of our client's wants and needs. We recommend using our in-house design team to help you create your dream landscape and to ensure proper communication and execution between the design and installation teams. We can also accommodate you if you already have design plans from another company. Our 7 step design process is detailed below so you have a better sense of what to expect when working with Brent Landscaping.

One.
Schedule An Initial Consultation

The first step is to call us today at 650-288-8663 to schedule an initial consultation. Our initial consultation is $185 and is non-refundable. If you decide to move forward with the project, the consultation fee will be deducted from the total cost. The fee will be collected at this time and your initial consultation will be scheduled.
Initial Consultation Meeting

Your initial consultation includes 1-2 hours of professional expertise regarding your landscape. Before our meeting, we ask that you fill out an Intake Form so we can gather key information for your project. We will visit your property to sit down and discuss your landscape ideas. During this time we’ll discuss your plans for the space, your budget, timeline, current landscape shade/sun, and future maintenance including watering needs and upkeep. Photos of the site and measurements will be taken at this time.

Design Rendering

Our landscape designer hand draws your future landscape using various mediums and a detailed plant list is provided.
Second Client Meeting and Presentation

Once the rendering is complete a second meeting will be scheduled and the team will present the rendering, along with plant recommendations, location and size. At this point, the plant selection is flexible. We do our best to work with specific plant preferences, however we will make recommendations for plants taking into consideration time of year, availability, sun light and shade tolerance. Overall, the main objective of this meeting is to review the rendering, note any modifications to the design, and to create a finalized plant list.

Five.
Approval of Project

At this point the client can give the green light to go ahead with the landscape project. We work closely with our installation team for most installs, but the rendering may be used for another landscape installer to complete the work. By using Brent Landscaping for the installation, we can ensure proper communication and execution between the design and installation teams. Additionally, we will take care of any required city permits for our clients.
Project Installation Begins

Our crew will be onsite most days or working closely with our local vendors across the Bay Area to ensure we are obtaining quality materials and the best prices possible for your project. We work with trusted vendors to ensure materials are delivered on time and that we remain in budget in order to complete your project according to the established timeline. Material and labor fees will be collected on a bi-weekly basis and o cover the upfront cost of the project.

Project Completion

The final payment will be collected at this time, and you will be ready to enjoy your new outdoor space! We’ll walk you through the completed landscape, review maintenance needs, and take final photos. We can also recommend reliable maintenance services in your area for ongoing maintenance at this time.
